Santa Claus will be speeding into Leamington next month in Young People First’s Fastest Santa Dash event at Mr Karting Indoor Kart Track.
AC Lloyd will be leading from the front of the grid after entering three teams into this new festive event which puts a unique and fresh spin on the well-known and much-loved Santa Dash. Joining them on Wednesday, December 12 at 3.30pm will be teams from the Deeley Group, Jaguar Land Rover and RBH Creative.
Sixteen teams will take part on the day and will be racing each other in a head-to-head, point scoring challenge to determine who will be crowned this year’s fastest Santa.
The profits on the day will go to Young People First, a local youth charity that supports some of the most vulnerable young people living in Coventry and Warwickshire. The charity uses one-to-one mentoring, group work and youth clubs to help young people whose lives have been affected by mental health problems, poverty, abuse and other forms of disadvantage.
Alistair Clark, Managing Director of AC Lloyd Homes, said: “We have a good relationship with Young People First who, like us, are committed to supporting the local community. Last year we accepted their challenge to climb Snowdon in Santa outfits and we helped them raise over £17,000. When they challenged us to put on the outfits again, we were more than happy to accept especially as this time it didn’t involve climbing any mountains!”
David Skoppek, of Young People First, said: “We are very grateful to businesses like AC Lloyd who go above and beyond to support charities like ours. The profits on the day will help us to continue to provide work which is reaching hundreds of young people annually. We also have a team lined up here ready to put in a good challenge for the crown.”
